We offer a flexible 9/80 work schedule, where you'll enjoy an extra day off every other week. This structure balances full-time hours with more personal time, supporting both productivity and work-life balance.
Job Purpose:
The Process Engineer will design and refine Intermediate Operations and Molding of 3D woven performs to support key production programs. This role entails generating comprehensive documentation, collaborating with internal teams and customers, and implementing continuous improvement strategies to optimize cost and performance. By managing key product and process requirements, the engineer will ensure that all initiatives align with project goals and deliver exceptional quality and efficiency. Ultimately the Process Engineer contributes to the organization's overall success by ensuring that manufacturing operations run smoothly and effectively.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop molding and intermediate manufacturing processes for key development and production programs.
  • Generate and maintain work instructions and process documentation to meet product requirements.
  • Provide necessary support to train production staff.
  • Provide technical recommendations to continuously improve processing techniques and equipment.
  • Support periodic engineering/technical project updates and reviews as needed.
  • Interact with customers to understand product and process requirements.
  • Identify methods to reduce average part cost (APC) through material usage, labor utilization, cycle optimization, and yield improvement.
  • Execute activities and projects within intended scope and schedule.
  • Perform and contribute to feasibility & trade studies, cost analysis and return on investment (ROI) and cost benefit evaluations.
  • Identify Key Product Characteristics (KPC's), manage and control to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Organize, prepare for, and/or conduct technical design reviews to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Work Cell Qualification: Commission and qualify manufacturing work cells through Installation, Operation, and Process (IQ, OQ, PQ) processes.
  • Support root cause corrective action activities using structured practices such as DMAIC, 8D, etc.
  • Perform failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA, pFMEA, dFMEA)
  • Lead project management (PM) for improvement activities following PM guidelines and New Product Introduction (NPI) structure
  • Provide inputs on autonomous maintenance (AM) and preventative maintenance (PM) best practices for key equipment components.
  • Collaboration with other sites and functional groups to support best practices, lessons learned, and production alignment.
  • Customer support including, but not limited to: data sharing, project collaboration, and presentation report out.

Qualifications/Characteristics:
Knowledge:
  • BS Engineering degree, ME/AE/EE preferred
  • 3+ years direct experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering. Composite or aerospace experience a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of aerospace composite structures
  • General knowledge of textiles, weaving equipment/process, and preform a plus
  • Experience with AS9100 or equivalent
