JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective
The Process Technician position is responsible for ensuring smooth running processes with minimum amount of downtime for process related issues.

Essential Functions

  1. Meets and Monitors daily schedules, providing root causes and corrective actions for any unscheduled downtime and or missed production opportunities.
  2. Monitors all scrap produced that affect efficiencies and daily outputs
  3. Evaluate functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with departments, identifying problems and requirements.
  4. Maintains 5s standards across all shifts holding each line accountable for 5s compliance.
  5. Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending and implementing changes, expansions, and additions as it pertains to the current production lines.
  6. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
  7. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; technical publications.
  8. Attends daily meeting with supervisors to go over efficiencies, scrap, and people related issues and reports findings to the team.
  9. Conducts training for new hires to help guide them to the next level.

Work Environment

This job operates between manufacturing and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines as well as interfacing with the operation of machinery on the floor.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position may require:

  1. Will require frequent standing and use of hands and arms
  2. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and frequently bend and twist from the waist

Frequently required to use hand and finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Sometimes travel to our external trainer may be required.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Basic mechanical aptitude and manufacturing plant experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. 3 years’ maintenance experience, understanding of injection molding machine systems and processing, basics robotics experience including program touch ups.
