What is a process integration manager?

Process Integration Managers are professionals responsible for coordinating and optimizing business processes across different departments or systems within an organization. Their main goal is to ensure that workflows, technologies, and teams work together seamlessly to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and achieve strategic objectives. They often analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and oversee the implementation of integrated solutions. These managers play a crucial role in bridging gaps between operations, IT, and business units to drive organizational success.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a process integration manager?

To thrive as a Process Integration Manager, you need a solid background in process engineering, project management, and a relevant degree in engineering or a related field. Experience with process mapping tools, ERP systems (such as SAP), and certifications like Six Sigma or PMP are commonly required. Strong analytical thinking, leadership, and excellent communication skills help in aligning cross-functional teams and driving process improvements. These abilities are crucial for ensuring seamless integration of processes, maximizing efficiency, and achieving organizational goals.

What are the most common cross-functional collaborations for a process integration manager, and how do they impact daily responsibilities?

Process Integration Managers frequently collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and IT teams to streamline workflows and optimize production processes. These interactions often involve coordinating meetings, troubleshooting process bottlenecks, and implementing new technologies or standards across departments. Effective communication and strong project management skills are essential, as the role requires balancing multiple priorities and ensuring alignment among diverse teams. This cross-functional work environment not only enhances daily problem-solving but also offers opportunities to broaden one’s expertise and advance into higher leadership roles.

Job description

About Veer

Each year, roughly 10% of an employer's workforce experiences a significant personal event that requires a leave of absence. Once thought of as a compliance risk, leave is now recognized by leading employers as a critical moment in the employee journey.

At Veer, we believe every employee deserves the time and support needed to thrive. We work with HR leaders at leading enterprise employers to transform the leave experience—moving beyond the "DMV-like" processes of forms, wait times, and confusion. Our digital and mobile platform guides employees from leave planning through return to work, ensuring a smooth, supportive transition.

The results speak for themselves: higher employee satisfaction, stronger operational effectiveness, and greater business continuity. Today, we're reinventing a $10+ billion industry. Tomorrow, we aspire to help make paid leave a universal human right. We're building Veer for the long term—with the shared commitment of our investors, customers, and partners—and we're doing so as a team grounded in empathy, curiosity, and impact.

About the Role

We are seeking an Integration Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of integrations between Veer and our customers' third party leave administrators. This highly visible role is at the center of Veer's success, ensuring our platform fits seamlessly into each customer's HR and leave management ecosystem. You'll work across employers, third-party vendors, and Veer's engineering team to deliver smooth, scalable, and repeatable integrations that delight customers and enable growth.

What you'll do

  • Own all customer integration projects from kickoff through go-live, serving as the primary point of accountability
  • Translate customer leave policies and claims administrator data into actionable requirements for engineering
  • Drive cross-functional coordination between Veer, customer HR teams, and third-party administrators
  • Proactively identify risks, escalate issues, and manage resolution to keep projects on track.
  • Build and maintain integration documentation, workflows, and mapping guides. Analyze and validate complex data flows (from APIs to flat files) to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Develop scalable playbooks, templates, and frameworks to streamline future integrations.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve integration tools, automation, and processes

What we are looking for

  • A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, is driven by impact, and brings a growth mindset.
  • 10+ years of program or project management experience, ideally in HR tech, SaaS implementations, or enterprise integrations
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to scale project operations and efficiency.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Analytical mindset with expertise in mapping, transforming, and validating complex data flows
  • Experience creating scalable processes, playbooks, or operational frameworks.
  • Knowledge of HRMS platforms (e.g., Workday) or leave management systems is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with system integration concepts (APIs, SFTP, flat-file data exchanges)
  • PMP, Scrum, or other program management certifications are a plus

Why join Veer?

  • Impact: Your work directly shapes the employee experience at some of the world's leading companies
  • Mission: Help reinvent an industry while advancing paid leave as a universal human right
  • Growth: Join an early team with the opportunity to build, scale, and shape processes from the ground up
  • Culture: Be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values bringing our best selves to work

This is a full-time salaried, exempt position. Compensation ranges from $110,000-$195,000 and is based on your experience and legal state of residence.
