We are currently seeking a Service Management Office (SMO) Senior Project Manager to join our team in Salem, Oregon (US-OR), United States (US).

Overview of job:

Provides coordination and support of a Service Management Office (SMO) efforts for NTT DATA.  The Sr Project Manager position works closely with project leadership, state staff, and other vendors to ensure successful delivery of NTT DATA SMO services.  This position supports project management, plan development, status reporting, training, and other SMO related services at the direction of the NTT DATA project leadership.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead complex technology and service management projects involving analysis of business processes, systems, operating models, and industry best practices.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Initiate corrective actions and risk mitigation strategies to maintain project objectives and timelines.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and Service Management Office (SMO) initiatives.
  • Develop integrated project management plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to implement service management frameworks, governance models, and enterprise service delivery capabilities.
  • Provide advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, IT service management practices, system development methodologies, and organizational change management.
  • Work with executive leadership to align project outcomes with strategic objectives, service improvement goals, and operational priorities.
  • Develop and present weekly and monthly executive status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze business and operational processes to identify opportunities for service optimization, standardization, automation, and continual improvement.
  • Support ITSM platform implementations and enhancements, including requirements definition, process alignment, testing, and organizational readiness activities.
  • Develop presentations, communications, and training materials related to project delivery, service management, and process improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience leading medium-to-large-scale information technology projects.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of consulting experience within a Project Management Office (PMO), Enterprise PMO, or Service Management Office (SMO).
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience leading or supporting ITSM, service transformation, or enterprise service platform implementation projects.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Abiltiy to travel to the client site in Salem, OR on an average of 25%

 

Preferred Skills:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a consultant in a client-facing role.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in business process improvement, organizational change, or operational transformation initiatives.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with ITIL-based ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, Asset, or Configuration Management.
  • Experience supporting the establishment, maturation, or governance of a Service Management Office (SMO).

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $101,400 - $211,250. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
