We are seeking an HPEFS Sr. Process Engineer to support our Spring, TX or Berkeley Heights, NJ on a hybrid schedule.

About the Role

HPE Financial Services within HPE is seeking a highly experienced individual contributor Process Engineer who serves as an expert in driving process excellence across complex, cross-functional environments.

The primary objective is to identify, design, and implement sustainable process improvements that deliver measurable business value.

The role is grounded in strong process engineering fundamentals, while leveraging automation, analytics, and AI as accelerators to enhance speed, insight, and scalability across projects. You will work closely with global business stakeholders to solve complex process challenges, define best practices, and embed continuous improvement into the organizational culture.

Role Overview

  • Subject matter expert in process engineering concepts, solving complex business issues through structured methodologies.
  • Leads high-impact, cross-functional process improvement initiatives requiring deep evaluation of business operations
  • Continuously contributes towards improving process engineering frameworks, governance, and standards.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to build organizational capability in process excellence.

Responsibilities

Process Improvement & Value Delivery

  • Leads end-to-end process improvement initiatives from discovery through value realization while leveraging the process engineering framework and templates
  • Provide DMAIC based approach to projects to drive business value for the company, lead focused, collaborative, cross-functional deep-dive workshops for high priority initiatives and bring process and data driven focused approach to support the organization's goals
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify inefficiencies, root causes, and improvement opportunities across processes while risk ratings the failure modes
  • Clearly able to corelate and map multiple tracks of process engineering work for synergies and lineage
  • Translate process insights into clear, actionable recommendations (to-be) and business cases focused on measurable outcomes
  • Drive a value-first mindset, ensuring all process improvements are linked to tangible business impact.
  • Champions the value realization framework to ensure measurable outcomes are part of the process engineering outcomes

Process Engineering & Methodology

  • Apply Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, and Agile methods to analyze, redesign, and optimize processes.
  • Conduct structured process assessments, including process mapping (L1- L4), root cause analysis, and waste identification applying FMEA and 5 Why concepts as applicable
  • Continuously contributes towards process standards, frameworks, and governance mechanisms for consistent execution.
  • Design and embed controls and monitoring mechanisms to ensure sustainability of improvements.
  • Leverage automations & AI to optimize the process improvement projects while reducing the turnaround times of process engineering engagements
  • Well versed with using analytics and process mining tools to support a data driven approach
  • Change management - Drive sustainable change through the organization through collaboration and cross function work. Establish process, procedures to ensure sustainability of project results

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

  • Proactive engagement, communications with cross-functional stakeholders across business units to align on process improvement priorities, deliverables and execution plans.
  • Influence business leaders to adopt process-led thinking and continuous improvement practices.
  • Communicate complex process issues in a clear, business-focused manner.

Capability Building

  • Mentor junior team members and peers contribute to building a strong process engineering capability across the organization.
  • Provide Yellow belt and Green belt training to potential candidates and upon request from the business
  • Contribute to the evolution of process engineering practices and continuous improvement culture.
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and learnings to drive consistency and maturity in process excellence.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 7-8 years of hands-on process engineering experience with a strong track record of delivering measurable business impact - ideally in a global, matrixed organization where speed-to-value and stakeholder influence are critical success factors.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (required) or Black Belt (strongly preferred), with demonstrated ability to apply Design Thinking and Agile methodologies alongside traditional process improvement tools
  • Proficiency with statistical techniques, flow charting, business analysis and experience in finance, banking, leasing and customer success / services environment in technology industry
  • Experience using AI and automation as accelerators within improvement projects is essential.
  • Practical experience with at least one process mining platform, with the ability to independently extract, interpret, and act on process intelligence data.
  • Strong business acumen and stakeholder engagement skills - able to quickly build credibility with senior leaders, translate process complexity into business impact narratives, and influence decision-making without relying solely on data or formal authority.
  • Based in or able to commute to Spring, TX or Berkeley Heights, NJ at least 3 days per week
  • Comfortable working across global time zones and collaborating with international teams and customers as part of a globally distributed organization
  • Ability to work independently and guide complex initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the globe
