Sentara Health is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to support strategic and operational initiatives that enhance organizational performance, quality, and efficiency. In this role, you will partner with operational leaders and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, facilitate process redesign, and implement sustainable solutions using continuous improvement methodologies. You will provide project support throughout the lifecycle of improvement initiatives, helping to drive measurable outcomes in cost, quality, safety, and operational effectiveness while supporting the organization's commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
Certification/Licensure
  • No specific certification or licensure requirements.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (Preferred)
Experience
  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Rapid Improvement, Process Redesign, Reengineering, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), or similar frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with project planning, implementation, and execution of operational or transformational improvement initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and organizational leaders to identify process improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project timelines.
