Position Summary:

  • As an Account Executive and Business Development Manager you are expected to drive advanced business growth initiatives and foster strategic client relationships. This role focuses on managing and growing client relationships and client acquisition processes in the Toronto and East Canada enterprise and mid-market grocers, drug, mass merchant and department and specialty retailer space. By collaborating with sales and marketing, you will refine strategies to secure new business and expand our market presence. This senior role is ideal for seasoned professionals with significant experience in business development and leadership within the SaaS and Managed Services sector.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Manage existing relationships with strategic accounts and improve client engagement processes and drive growth.
  • Build and manage relationships with strategic prospect accounts and improve client engagement processes towards new business and growth.
  • Develop and implement advanced lead generation strategies for high-value clients.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to enhance customer acquisition.
  • Use data insights to inform strategic business decisions and opportunities.
  • Oversee and mentor a support team to meet and exceed sales and business development goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales and business development.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving business growth.
  • Expert negotiation skills and experience managing large accounts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the SaaS and technology industries.
  • Extensive knowledge of retail Point of Sales ("POS") solutions and industry needs.
  • Ability to develop and execute innovative growth strategies.
  • Strong proficiency in using data analytics to guide strategy.
  • Experience in global market engagement and expansion.
  • Track record of exceeding performance and revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead successful cross-functional initiatives.
