Position Overview

This role contributes to strategic development of operational projects and programs. It performs diverse tasks requiring evaluation and judgment, and supports knowledge sharing across the team.

What You'll Do:

  • Initiate and manage activities within established guidelines, ensuring compliance and quality standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve more complex, non-routine operational problems.

  • Design and develop process enhancements that increase efficiency and accuracy.

  • Lead small-scale projects or segments of larger initiatives related to operational improvements.

  • Review existing workflows for efficiency; recommend enhancements backed by data-driven analysis.

  • Maintain and update knowledge repositories, SOPs, and process documentation for team use.

  • Collaborate with peers and cross-functional partners to align deliverables and share best practices.

  • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders.

  • Conduct complex data analysis and develop models to support management decisions.

  • Support implementation of new operational tools and provide training or guidance to junior team members.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and technical point of contact for internal stakeholders on specific operational issues.

What You'll Bring to Zelis:

  • Typically has Bach. +4 yrs; Masters +2 yrs Attends company training and regional training in area of expertise. Presents own work to members of department and external consultants and external professional meetings

  • Requires proficiency using AI tools skillfully with an understanding of how to develop/create intelligent prompts and/or agents.

  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.

  • Experience in process documentation and SOP development.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with healthcare transaction systems and compliance standards.

Location and Workplace Flexibility

Zelis is headquartered in the U.S., with multiple locations across the country and in Hyderabad, India. Check out our locations to learn more about our offices. All employee work locations are based on the needs of the position and are determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.


While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.
