Responsibilities - Lead materials and process engineering initiatives for aerospace and defense projects. - Evaluate metallic materials and manufacturing processes for compliance with engineering requirements. - Conduct materials analysis focusing on metallurgy, corrosion, fatigue, heat treatment, and materials testing. - Prepare metallographic samples and perform laboratory evaluations. - Review and analyze manufacturing methods, including machining, forging, forming, fastening, welding/brazing, plating, and coating. - Interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and process requirements. - Deliver technical support to manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams. - Work full-time onsite, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
