Job Description

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and oversee the Engineering Department, applying your strong technical expertise and leadership abilities to ensure efficient facility operations. Your guidance will help maintain exceptional guest satisfaction while driving ongoing improvements across our property.

As Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Direct workers engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
  • Study production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a resort or commercial environment.
  • Hands-on technical experience working with building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or life safety systems.
  • OSHA safety certification is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must regularly lift, move, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Westgate Resorts is a smoke and tobaccofree workplace.
  • Must pass background check, drug test, and verify eligibility to work in the U.S.
