They work with FM to better understand the hazards that can impact their business continuity to make cost-effective risk management decisions, combining property loss prevention with insurance protection.

FM's Engineering Standards team is responsible for the technical content that supports our engineering field operations and client-facing loss prevention guidance worldwide.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain talent while supporting adoption of new processes and technologies.

Manage Engineering Standards Operations

  • Oversee the end-to-end publication lifecycle for Engineering Operating Standards, client-facing Data Sheets and internal technical communications.

  • Ensure content quality, governance, data integrity, and on-time delivery.

  • Manage publication schedules, translation needs, priorities, and cross-functional dependencies to support successful release cycles.

Collaborate Across the Business

  • Partner with engineers, technical editors, multimedia specialists, and operations support teams to deliver accurate and effective technical content.

  • Align stakeholders, resolve issues, and drive decisions to meet business objectives and critical deadlines.

  • Translate technical and operational requirements into actionable plans and priorities.

Drive Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, governance practices, and content operations.

  • Support the evolution of content management platforms, including Tridion.

  • Leverage automation, AI, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

  • Lead process and technology transformation initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience leading content operations, publishing, documentation, technical content, or related business processes.

  • Strong project management experience, including managing complex initiatives, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering results on schedule.

  • Experience managing technical content, publishing processes, content management workflows, version controls, permissions, documentation, and workflow processes to support efficient content delivery.

  • Proven experience leading, developing, and motivating teams in a collaborative environment.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Experience partnering effectively across engineering, operations, and business teams.

  • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience leading process improvement, governance, or operational excellence initiatives.

  • Experience with Tridion or similar content management platforms is a plus.

  • Experience and knowledge of XML, Adobe Professional, and SharePoint are preferred.

  • Experience leveraging automation, artificial intelligence (AI), or emerging technologies to improve workflows and business outcomes is highly preferred.

Education

Bachelors degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.

The hiring range for this position is $83,000- $119,000 a year. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience. The position is eligible to participate in FM’s comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes an incentive plan, medical, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, well-being programs, a 401(k) and pension plan, career development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, flexible work, and time off, including vacation and sick time.
