Standard Job Description
You will be the Electrical Engineering Manager for the Special Programs - Sensors Portfolio (Electrical Subsystems) team. Our group delivers cutting-edge electrical solutions for air, land, sea, and space platforms, supporting next-generation mission-critical technologies across Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Electrical Engineering Manager you will lead a high-performing electrical-subsystem team while providing hands-on technical expertise. You'll define staffing needs, recruit top talent, and manage the full employee lifecycle. You'll also coach and mentor engineers, oversee system design and integration, and partner with cross-functional leaders to align resources with mission objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Defining staffing requirements, recruiting diverse talent, and managing onboarding, performance reviews, career development, and, when necessary, separations.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and assigning work to engineers to grow the Electrical Systems competency across the portfolio.
  • Overseeing technical execution of electrical system design, analysis, and integration for Special Programs projects.
  • Conducting design reviews, ensuring compliance with requirements, and driving resolution of technical issues.
  • Developing and delivering training, career-development, and recognition programs that elevate team capability and engagement.
  • Collaborating with the Chief Engineer, cross-functional partners, other Lines of Business, and Business Areas to align resources with mission objectives.
  • Managing schedule, budget, and risk for electrical-subsystem deliverables, and communicating status to senior leadership and customers.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited college
- Leadership experience in airborne sensors design, architecture, build, qualification, and production
- Experience with Electrical Systems

- Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles
- Experience with Windchill or Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
- Strong understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) principles
- Rapid prototyping experience (additive and traditional manufacturing)
- Experience with Allegro Cadence, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent EDA tools
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
