THE ROLE

The Senior Civil Process Engineer will be responsible for consulting with clients on process optimization needs and designing process improvements as they relate to mining, water treatment, and oil and gas projects. The ideal person will have a depth of technical process engineering experience. These responsibilities include:

  • Consult with the client on process optimization needs and understand the client's vision.
  • Design processes for throughput, sizing mechanical equipment, and piped systems.
  • Lead project teams to see the successful completion of the project.
  • Manage, mentor, and lead direct report staff.
  • Create new process flow diagrams, block diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and sizing specific equipment for the project.
  • Draft technical specification sections, equipment lists, and procurement support documents for the projects.
  • Develop capital and operating expense estimates.
  • Manage projects in accordance with Morrison-Maierle standards and client expectations.
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance client relationships.
  • Support business development activities for the Industrial Market sector.
  • Direct CAD personnel on drawing development.
  • Utilize design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D to analyze engineering processes.
  • Advise clients on best practices for infrastructure development and operations.

YOUR STRENGTHS
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, mining, or petroleum engineering or equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of design experience in civil engineering, water, and wastewater projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Engineering design software experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Plant3D, Navisworks or similar.
  • Knowledge of process engineering principles and calculations.
  • Project management experience leading complex projects and teams.
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable record for travel.
