Job description

Arcosa Telecom Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is searching for a Sales Manager to support the company’s strategy of enhancing the continued growth and development of the sales team. This role will be responsible for sales and marketing of Steel Structures nationally including existing customer management/development, RFQ management, new customer development, backlog accuracy and fulfillment and various other aspects of customer management. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the annual sales of all products for the region, from initial customer contact/order placement through design, fabrication, installation and payment collection to next order; understanding the revenue streams and probable responses based on changes in price, lead time or product changes
  • Coordinate activities as needed between the various functions such as sales, project management, operations, legal, finance, manufacturer’s reps and the customer ensuring optimal outcomes and customer satisfaction
  • Manage current customer contracts and relationships
  • Identify key prospects for future blanket relationships and engaging the BU appropriately to best position to capture the business
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to deliver value-add service and build customer loyalty
  • Utilize industry knowledge along with competitive analysis to establish and adjust the overall strategy for the region aligned with Arcosa business goals
  • Work with alliance customers to proactively reserve and manage production space in Arcosa’s backlog in advance of upcoming projects; set up processes and timelines for customer’s to provide key information required to proceed with production and maintain schedule
  • Assist with and in some instances take the lead on the quote process for non-aligned customers, working effectively within Arcosa’s team to produce final bid proposals
  • Obtain feedback on competitive bids and update Arcosa’s MRP system
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives including measurement of metrics, continuous improvement of processes and process development
  • Communicate effectively and facilitate/host meetings as necessary to both promote Arcosa as well as resolve/address conflict and problems internally and externally
  • Analyze customer/competition situations to maximize revenue and profitability
  • Stay up to date on industry changes, participating where possible in organizations directly involved with our prime markets and continually working to improve sales techniques and sales knowledge
  • Attend industry trade shows and participate in customer hospitality
  • Pursue special projects such as competitive investigations, market studies on new products and credit or collection activities as assigned or authorized by supervisor

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years sales and marketing experience
  • Technical sales experience along with an Engineering background preferred
  • Telecom experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability create presentations for internal/external customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven customer relationship development
  • Ability to travel 50%
