Job description

• Provide technical and engineering oversight and support to the Production/Technology group.• Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas.• Develops, maintains, and suggest improvements to all production & quality models.• Monitor process changes to stay current with updates to the production process.• Develop and utilize techniques for process analysis, process trending, and process data collection• Enforce Company policies and procedures while maintaining equipment and improving safety standards in the plant.• Maintain a clean department by championing good sanitation, housekeeping and GMP standards.• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all ISO standards.• Monitors training needs for self and department, making recommendations for attendance at those training functions that appear beneficial for department members. Develop training for specific processed within the production department.• Take a pro-active stance towards safety to achieve annual plant safety targets.• Maintain effective, professional, and harmonious working environment.• Participate in customer audits and regulatory audits• Support Engineering and Technical Services departments on process development projects.• Provide back-up responsibilities for General Supervisor and Production Manager• Support the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and FSSC 22000 management systems and the Quality, Environmental, and Food Safety Policy as appropriate in the function.• Execute assigned Corrective and Preventive Actions related to audit findings, customer complaints, product that fails testing. Record information regarding actions in the CAR database and monitor actions’ due dates.• Perform other projects as directed by the Production Manager and Plant Manager.BS in an Engineering Discipline in either Chemical, Mechanical, or Food EngineeringStrong communicational skills both oral and written are essential.Understanding of statistics and statistics software for data processing (stat graphics, statistic process control, etc.)The ability to maintain constructive relations, despite occasional conflicts, with the entire workforce is extremely important.Ability to design and carry out, report on, and interpret results of experimentation at a professional level.Good computer skills with advanced-level proficiency using computers for email, word processing, and spreadsheets is required #J-18808-Ljbffr
