Job Summary
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer – Electrification to support the design and development of high-voltage electrical systems for heavy-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience with vehicle electrification, electrical system design, CAN communication, and engineering documentation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop reliable, high-quality electrical systems from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support high-voltage electrical systems for heavy-duty vehicles.
- Perform electrical analysis, calculations, and engineering documentation.
- Develop and update electrical schematics, drawings, and engineering changes.
- Support prototype, testing, and production builds while resolving engineering issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to improve product performance and quality.
- Process engineering change notices (ECNs) and maintain technical documentation.
- Ensure designs meet engineering standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in vehicle electrification.
- Preferred 5–10 years of electrification experience (maximum 15 years).
- Experience with high-voltage electrical systems.
- Knowledge of CAN Bus and SAE J1939 communication protocols.
- Familiarity with power electronics, electric motors, and energy storage systems (batteries).
- Basic knowledge of programming or controls software.
- Automotive High Voltage training or certification is a plus.
