**Sr. Engineering Manager

We are seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead engineering strategy and drive technical excellence across manufacturing and operations. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Engineering Department in an office/production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.

The Sr. Engineering Manager will oversee engineering functions, lead cross-functional initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, automation, and product quality while assisting this Engineering Department as needed.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute engineering strategy aligned with business objectives and operational goals Lead and manage multiple engineering teams including Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and Automation Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization Oversee new product introduction (NPI) activities including process development, validation, and ramp to production Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams to ensure successful product delivery Establish and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and technical documentation Drive implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and automation solutions Monitor and improve key performance indicators including yield, uptime, throughput, and cost of production Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for complex technical and production issues Oversee capital equipment planning, budgeting, and implementation Ensure effective resource planning, staffing, and development of engineering teams Mentor and develop engineering leaders and high-potential talent within the organization Partner with customers and stakeholders on technical requirements, design for manufacturability (DFM), and issue resolution Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across engineering operations Drive digital transformation initiatives including MES, data analytics, and smart manufacturing systems Support strategic planning, forecasting, and long-term capacity planning initiatives Lead cross-functional communication and alignment on engineering priorities and project execution Provide regular updates to executive leadership on engineering performance, risks, and opportunities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred 10+ years of experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Strong background in manufacturing processes, automation, and engineering systems Experience in electronics manufacturing or SMT/PCBA environment preferred Proven leadership experience managing multiple teams and large-scale operations Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies Experience with NPI, process validation, and production ramp-up Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting and strategic planning Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with MES, ERP, and data-driven manufacturing systems preferred

Ability to sit, stand, and walk in an office and production environment and lift up to 25 pounds
