Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Process Technician - 3rd shift Sunday thru Thursday 10 pm - 6:30 am

PRIMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • While reporting to the Molding Manager as the Process Technician you will be responsible for the safety of yourself and fellow employees.
  • Responsible for work area SAFETY and use of PPE
  • Sustain 5S Housekeeping at all times in all areas
  • Attend Shift handoff meetings for any special instructions, mold change list and press schedule for that day
  • Capable of making sound decisions with regards to executing priorities, modifications and cost control (scrap and efficiency focus)
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude to conduct systematic analysis of tooling, processes, and machines to solve existing problem
  • Responsible for accurate and thorough documentation and data communication
  • Complete Process Parameter Checks every shift, including documentation of completed process
  • Check pressure tanks to make sure they are properly programmed and that you have the correct material for mold changes
  • Cycle in machines and maintain shortest possible cycle while producing quality parts
  • Check CQS sheets daily for any changes in procedure. Check molded parts for proper weight specifications and dimensions when required
  • Adjust press cycle times, replace fill guns and knock outs as needed, change bead bags or pressure tanks of material as required
  • Performs minor maintenance on molding presses, checks for air, oil, water and steam leaks
  • Assist in training new employees on quality requirements, safely operating their molding machines, and any other equipment they will be required to operate
  • Must be able to lift 75 plus pounds
  • Employee must be computer literate
  • Perform other duties throughout the plant as directed by supervisor/delegate
  • Forklift experience (beneficial but not required)
