Job Description

AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking an Entry-Level Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to join our Denver, Colorado office. In this role, you will contribute to multidisciplinary teams that partner with public and private clients to plan and deliver solutions across drinking water and wastewater treatment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions for our clients.

This position is expected to begin ASAP.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Support planning and design tasks for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Assist with engineering calculations and technical evaluations
  • Support preparation of deliverables such as technical memoranda, basis of design documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Contribute to development of design packages including drawings coordination, specifications, and opinions of probable cost (under supervision).
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to align treatment needs with overall facility design.
  • Review and organize project data (water quality, operational data, field observations) and summarize findings clearly.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field of study + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, Revit, and/or GIS.
  • Coursework familiarity with treatment fundamentals (filtration, disinfection, treatment).
  • Previous Internship/co-op experience in water/wastewater.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
