What You'll be Doing

As the Mechanical Intern, you'll be working with the mechanical team, developing hardware designs and validation.


The term of this role can range for a 4 - 12 month term based on availability, at our headquarters in London, Ontario.


New grads and students are welcomed to apply!


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Design, implement and validate components, weldments, assemblies, and integrations for engineering designs and mechanical hardware
  • Develop and complete technical documentation for mechanical hardware and related products
  • Select applicable materials and components for structural assemblies and electrical hardware enclosures
  • Support in integrating existing CAE documents into PDM software
  • Prepare recommendations for production and assembly of locomotive subsystems

Who you are? 

  • A student of a Mechanical or Mechatronic degree or technical related diploma
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience using Solidworks or other CAE software suites
  • Proficient in using CAE supporting PDM suites
  • Basic GD&T understanding
  • Competent in using hand tools
  • Proficient in using with Excel
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
