Job description

Co-op Engineering Student Under the direct supervision of lead and support engineers, the co-op student is an integral component of the engineering team directly interfacing with team members to help ensure the design, manufacturing, testing, and delivery documentation supporting the project technical aspects are completed timely and with high quality. The coop student will be involved with project activities such as: calculations and design reviews; technical documentation; fabrication and testing; resolving design issues; modifying designs; and supporting the delivery of the product.

Essential Functions:

  1. Support project engineering activities at the direction of the lead or support engineer
  2. Initiate or correct project technical documentation according to engineering direction or mark-ups
  3. Inspect and document ship-loose items
  4. Compile and organize project load-out and completion binders
  5. Participate in product testing activities
  6. End of semester presentation to engineering management team

Job Specifications and Physical Requirements:

  1. Pursuing a BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering program. (strong mechanical focus)
  2. Successful completion of Calculus 2
  3. Preferably maintaining a GPA above 3.0
  4. Available to work 3 alternating semesters
  5. Ability to perform moderately complex calculations, and make basic interpretations of data
  6. Strong problem solving ability
  7. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
  8. Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, plan and manage work in an efficient manner, work in

teams, work well under stress and time pressures, and work in both an office and manufacturing environment
