Raphael & Associates, a nationwideย third-partyย claimsย administratorย (TPA) and field adjusting firm,ย is seeking a results-driven Business Developmentย Managerย with 10+ years of experience in insurance business development to accelerate client acquisition, strengthen carrier partnerships, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to build relationships withย insuranceย companyย claimsย andย underwriting leaders,ย andย programย managers. This role will initially be based out of our New York, NY or Rutherford, NJ offices.ย  Once the candidate is up to speed the position will be hybrid.
As a Business Developmentย Manager, you will lead initiatives to expand our presence in theย TPA and Field Adjustingย market. You will develop strategic growthย plans andย cultivate high-value partnerships. Candidates with deep industry knowledge andย establishedย networks in insurance are strongly preferred.ย 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute a business development strategyย workingย closely with the Head of Business Development.ย ย ย ย 
  • Follow up on new client referrals received by the Executive team.ย 
  • Proactively network,ย identify, qualify, and close opportunities with insurance carriers,ย MGAs/Program Administrators, and brokers.ย 
  • Build andย maintainย executive-level relationships acrossย variousย insurance organizations.ย 
  • Lead proposal development and collaborate with internal teams to ensure competitive positioning and profitability.ย 
  • Work with Head of Business Development to refine processes and KPIs for new business development.ย 
  • Create activities to enhance engagement with new potential clients.ย 
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences andย atย targeted outreach events.ย 
  • Generateย business leadsย from new and existingย clientsย through proactive business developmentย activities.ย 
  • Stay updated with insurance industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changesย and share updates with leadership.ย 
  • Provide strategicย reports on new business development progress.ย 
  • Provide recommendationsย toย managementย for new clients.ย 
  • Lead end-to-end transaction process includingย opportunityย evaluation,ย due diligence,ย and negotiation.ย 
  • Partner withย internal and external stakeholdersย to ensureย aย successfulย start to a new client.ย ย 
  • Drive measurable growth across territory.ย 
  • Provideย a consultativeย sales approach.ย 
Qualifications
  • 10+ years in business development, sales leadership, or strategic partnerships within insurance.ย
