Title: Process Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Reports To: Manager Process Engineering

Ingredion is hiring a Process Engineer to provide technical support and leadership to the assigned department in meeting safety, quality, production and cost goals. Identify, develop and implement process improvements. Accountable for timely delivery of process engineering deliverables in a multi-functional environment.
What you will do:
  • Utilizing lean principles, analyze process conditions and operational activities to propose corrective actions as needed to ensure the process operates in a cost effective and efficient manner.
  • Assist Operations and Maintenance with troubleshooting of processing equipment and increase process reliability using root cause analysis.
  • Aid in day to day activities of the operation to produce products of sufficient quality and quantity to meet the projected demands of customers.
  • Incorporate Safety, Health and Environmental compliance requirements into process improvements.
  • Manage assignments in accordance with Ingredion Engineering Standards.
  • Develop, evaluate and seek approval for process modifications and optimization programs to improve the efficiency and capability of plant processes.
  • Implement improvement initiatives in conjunction with Operations and Maintenance.
  • Lead or participate in strategic process initiatives and studies.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of operations personnel in operational techniques and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate on continuous improvement teams made up of peers throughout the Ingredion network.
  • Assist in mentoring of less experienced engineers.

  • Self-starter who can navigate ambiguity, stay organized, and deliver results with urgency and ownership.
  • Strong project management capability, including multitasking and effective time management.
  • Team-oriented leader with high integrity who can collaborate across all levels, support technical development of the hourly workforce, and use PC tools and statistical data analysis (or be working toward proficiency).

Pay Range:
$84,400.00-$112,533.33 Annual
This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
