Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Must be able to communicate details of concrete mix adherence to specifications with the QC Manager to determine the course of action for mix design adjustments in the field.
  • Must be able to communicate concrete mix design issues with the QC Manager from the field to determine if loads should be accepted or rejected.
  • Collect samples from concrete and aggregate from the plants.
  • Perform field tests, trail batches, densities of materials and other properties.
  • Processes samples using a variety of testing equipment and procedures.
  • Preforms research and development on new materials to be used.
  • Records data and enters information into computer systems.
  • Ability to clearly and efficiently communicate with plant staff and area management when needed.
  • Perform general clean-up and maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Maintains a strict adherence to company policies, safety policies, and OSHA regulations at all times.
  • Possesses a professional attitude while interacting with peers, contractors and general public.
  • Must be available to travel and work from other company facilities as needed.

  • Stands for long periods of time performing tests in hot weather or current conditions

Requirements
  • Strong mathematical skills with the ability to perform basic calculations as needed.
  • Ability to communicate, understand, and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Must be willing to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays when necessary. Regular and timely attendance is required.
  • Must pass pre-employment requirements, drug screen, criminal background check and driving record review.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
  • ACI and/or additional certification will be required for advancement to higher levels.

Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of related construction experience preferred.
