About the Role

As a Process Quality Engineer, you will ensure that incoming and outgoing materials, components, and products meet required quality standards, specifications, and compliance requirements, aligning with organizational and customer expectations. This role requires an independent, self-motivated, and highly skilled engineer with extensive knowledge of Quality and Configuration Management to oversee products with minimal guidance, often on accelerated timelines. The position is on-site at X-Bow's Huntsville, AL facility, with some travel (20%).---

Key Responsibilities

Quality Requirements and Standards

· Define and implement receiving inspection and inventory management processes.

· Communicate quality requirements, specifications, and standards to operations via purchase orders, manufacturing work instructions, and verbal communication.

· Ensure designs and associated Configuration Management comply with industry standards, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements.

Inspection and Testing

· Collaborate with teams to establish inspection criteria and acceptance standards.

· Oversee manufacturing inspections and testing to verify conformance to engineering requirements with emphasis on arm fire devices, electronics, electro-mechanical products and cables supporting rocket motor launch controls.

· Define, review, and conduct First Article Inspection.

Process Oversight

· Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

· Ensure manufacturing processes comply with industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA).

Continuous Improvement

· Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions.

· Lead or participate in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.

Documentation and Reporting

· Develop and maintain quality documentation, including process control plans, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

· Prepare quality reports and present findings to management.

Nonconformance Management

· Investigate quality issues and nonconformances.

· Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality problems.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Technology Integration
