1st Shift, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

As the Inventory Control & Quality Manager,  you will be responsible for developing the ICQA analytics strategy while designing and building analytics-based tools and reporting capabilities which are technically sophisticated yet easy to understand and use. You will monitor trends, analyze issues, recommend improvements, and provide leadership and training to a team of Inventory Analysts. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Develop solutions that leverage and expand upon inventory analytics capabilities to the business that drive accuracy and integrity of inventory systems
  • Drive the strategic and tactical design and deployment of BI inventory analysis and reporting packages
  • Ensure analytical reporting capabilities enhance KPI attainment, business results, decision-making process and capabilities
  • Provide leadership and training to a team of Inventory Analysts to accomplish company goals and objectives
  • Create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement that drives cross-functional engagement within the operational, planning, business intelligence and data analytics areas
  • Engage with stakeholders across the organization to align priorities, build and execute development plans and communicate recommendations
  • Define and enforce standards to sustain effectiveness; experiment with and promote adoption of new tools and approaches when appropriate
  • Mentor and train analytical resources in best practices; simplify and communicate success stories to broader audiences across the company

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • 4 years of inventory control experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with computerized scanner equipment
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Certified Business Intelligence Professional from Transforming Data with Intelligence (TDWI) and R/Python certifications
  • 3 + years’ experience delivering BI and data analytics solutions that involve statistical modeling
  • Understanding of data warehouse concepts such as: patterns for time variance and generic versus explicit data structures; standards-based approaches for object names and data types; using logical data models to document and explain business objectives
  • Experience taking care of both structured and unstructured data to recognize patterns and generate insights
  • Understanding of best practices and principles in SQL, query design, data validation/automation and analytic functions
