Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Control Manager to join our team! As a Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the training and development of all staff for the department, including hiring new employees and handling discipline or termination of existing employees. You will also audit the current processes and systems, oversee all incoming materials and products, and ultimately lead the department as a whole. The ideal candidate has leadership experience, exceptional communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers and experts within the department
  • Audit current processes to improve efficiency
  • Hire, train, and mentor employees under your supervision
  • Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions, as necessary
  • Responsible for assisting with all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and laboratory policy.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the environmental analytical laboratory especially ISO and TNI quality standards.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of routine laboratory quality assurance tasks.
  • Works under general supervision and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, but a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental Science
  • Minimum of six years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team desired
  • Demonstrated experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance desired
