Job description

Operations Project Lead – Heavy Transportation

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is currently recruiting for an Operations Project Lead to join the Heavy Transportation division. This role will be based out of Georgia with a preference of Griffin, Augusta, or Atlanta. The starting salary for this exempt level role is currently $70,000.00 per year.

Overall Purpose

The Operations Project Lead is responsible for driving operational projects from concept to successful deployment, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with organizational objectives. This role serves as the central point of coordination for project activities, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and quality. Acting as a first responder to project and facility issues, the Operations Project Lead provides rapid resolution to minimize disruptions while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. With flexibility to support evolving priorities, this position ensures timely job deployment and fosters collaboration across cross‑functional teams to deliver operational excellence.

Frequent travel required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
  • Coordinate communication among internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain project clarity.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions to meet quality and delivery targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless execution.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to leadership, highlighting progress and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Respond promptly to urgent project or facility concerns to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Strong project management expertise, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • High adaptability and problem-solving skills to manage evolving priorities and urgent operational challenges.
