The Role:
Our client, a respected law firm in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and document support to attorneys and paralegals. This role is critical to ensuring deadlines are met, documents are accurate, and client service standards are exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive administrative support to attorneys and legal teams
- Edit and proofread legal and administrative documents for accuracy and consistency
- Manage CLE credit tracking, calendaring, expense reimbursements, and scheduling
- Greet clients, coordinate meetings, and handle professional correspondence
- Electronically file documents with courts and maintain organized case files
- Support billing processes including time entry, reporting, and client inquiries
- Monitor deadlines and follow up on pending matters
- Liaise with court personnel, attorneys, and internal staff
What You Bring:
- At least 3 years of legal assistant or legal administrative experience in a law firm
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience proofreading and formatting complex legal documents
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
