Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories to assess both the physical and mental health of patients.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Prescribe medications and recommend therapies in accordance with established protocols, focusing on safety and cost-effectiveness.
  • Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Counsel patients and their families regarding health management, medication management, and behavior modifications to mitigate health risks.
  • Document all patient evaluations, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately in our electronic medical records system.
  • Provide specialized consultation-level services addressing cardiovascular and related problems, linking patients with necessary support and specialists when required.
  • Manage patients across various healthcare settings, ensuring continuity of care beyond the outpatient environment.
  • Perform invasive procedures as delegated by supervising physicians, adhering to safety and competency guidelines.
  • Be flexible with your schedule to accommodate the department's coverage needs, ensuring patient care continuity.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working predominantly with adults experiencing a range of cardiac conditions. You will assess and manage patients with chronic heart diseases, acute cardiac episodes, and those needing preventive care in a fast-paced clinical setting. Your expertise in cardiology will play a crucial role in improving patient health outcomes and ensuring a high standard of care.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies preferred.
  • Active Physician Assistant (PA) certification and state licensure.
  • A minimum of one year of PA experience, preferably in cardiology.
  • Strong foundational skills in active listening, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Preferred Experience
