Summary
Assists and supports the Quality Engineers by providing production expertise to resolve Quality issues within the production operation. Monitors process, component and product quality problems and escalates to supervisor. May provide functional guidance or demonstrate work methods to new employees.
Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
  • Performs and reports in process and product first layer assessment.
  • Performs activities identified related to the Key process and product characteristics.
  • Supports and verifies the identification and processing of internal non-conforming materials for proper disposition.
  • Ensures that the implemented changes and corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues are respected in the manufacturing line.
  • Performs First Article Assessment activities.
  • Supports internal, industry and customer audits as required.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality
  • Processes.
  • Supports and performs the RMA quality related activities.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in providing quality guidance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality and manufacturing standards.
  • Good knowledge of computer applications and the ability to perform tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of shop floor control and quality management documentation systems such as Spectrum Pro, EtQ.
  • Skills for evaluating, diagnosing and solving problems encountered in the manufacturing.
  • Well organized.
