Job description

Financial Specialist

Do you have a knack for numbers and a heart for helping people? Are you the kind of person who gets genuinely excited about setting someone up with their first car loan, helping a family open a savings account, or just making someone’s day a little easier?

We’re looking for a Financial Specialist who’s part relationship-builder, part problem-solver, and part financial guide. In this role, you won’t just handle transactions — you’ll transform them into real moments of service, support, and connection.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Helping members with all things money — from deposits and withdrawals to loan payments and account openings
  • Supporting financial wellness by recommending products that truly benefit members (not just checking boxes)
  • Guiding loan applicants through the process with clarity and care
  • Solving member problems like a pro — with a smile, a solution, and maybe even a little sparkle
  • Keeping accurate records and ensuring all transactions are buttoned up and by the book

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:

  • Have 1–3 years of experience in banking, finance, or a similar customer-focused role
  • Can juggle tasks while staying friendly, focused, and fabulous
  • Take pride in being organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy
  • Handle confidential info like a vault (secure and silent)
  • Love building relationships and helping people reach their financial goals

Bonus Points If You:

  • Know your way around credit union products and services
  • Have experience opening accounts, processing loans, or cross-selling services
  • Can spot a financial opportunity that benefits the member and take the time to walk them through it

What Success Looks Like:

  • Happy, loyal members who trust you with their financial needs
  • Accurate, efficient transactions that keep everything running smoothly
  • Meeting or exceeding sales and service goals (without feeling “salesy”)
  • Being that go-to person everyone trusts for financial guidance

Why Join Us?
We’re not just a credit union — we’re a community. At Superior Choice Credit Union, we believe in putting people before profits, building relationships over transactions, and helping our team grow along with our members. Come work where your ideas matter, your service makes a difference, and your career can truly take off.
