Schedule:
PRN staff are not guaranteed specific number of hours. They help cover PTO, leaves of absence, and staffing shortage.
Must be available to train full-time if little to no phlebotomy experience
Duties include:
Prepping & performing phlebotomy on children up to elderly patients
Preparing samples for pickup
Maintain appropriate supplies inventory
Charting blood draws
Laboratory Assistant = No certification or previous experience required ($16.00-25.50)
Senior Laboratory Assistant = Requires active phlebotomy certification from ASCP or AMT within 1 year of hire ($17.00-26.50)

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens.

Job Description

Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.
Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
