Job Description

Dukes&Jones Security Academy is launching a new Security Training School in Orlando and is seeking experienced Security Instructors to deliver high-quality training to future security professionals. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in private security, law enforcement, or the military who are passionate about teaching and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom and practical instruction for security officer training programs
  • Teach Florida state-required security courses (unarmed and/or armed)
  • Instruct students on:
    • Professional conduct and ethics
    • De-escalation and conflict management
    • Legal authority, use of force, and liability
    • Emergency response and incident procedures
    • Report writing and communication skills
  • Ensure all training meets Florida licensing and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate student records and course documentation
  • Promote a safe, professional, and respectful learning environment

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must have Active Class โ€œDIโ€ Security Officer Instructor license from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing
  • Minimum 3+ years of licensed security experience; teaching or law enforcement background preferred
  • Must speak English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage a classroom and hands-on training environment
  • 3+ years of experience in private security, law enforcement, military, or related field
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred:

  • Florida Class D and/or Class G Instructor Certification
  • Prior teaching or training experience
  • Firearms instructor certification
  • CPR / First Aid / AED Instructor certification
  • BILINGUAL (Spanish and/or Haitian)
