Essential Functions (including but not limited to): Security Officers are trained for several different posts including those detailed below. Working in conjunction with the airport and government agencies, the main priority of each position is to ensure that we maintain compliance with local and federal regulations in respect to each of the following:

  • Catering Security: providing surveillance at the catering kitchen, searching all catering equipment, and ensuring that nothing is tampered with in transit from the facilities to aircraft.
  • Private Charter Screening: Using specialized security screening equipment in a mobilized operation, screening specialists will:
    • Set up screening equipment at designated location as specified by client request within TSA guidelines.
    • Verify passenger identification.
    • Screen the passenger’s person and property for threat items prior to allowing access to the secure area.
    • Maintain positive control of the screened passengers until they board or are transported to their private charter flight.

Private Charter Screenings are a mobilized operation and can occur in a variety of locations.  Screening Specialist teams will be outfitted with a company vehicle capable of transporting the team and the screening equipment safely and securely to the designated location.  Same day and overnight travel may be required depending on the assignment and the distance to the location.

Qualifications/Requirements:

This position requires you obtain Airport Badging, and The Department of Homeland Security requires an extensive background check to obtain badging which include 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, credit, education, and personal references. Also, must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment as administered by the Transportation Security Administration

Additional requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Must have a valid State Security License
  • Federal regulations specify U.S. Citizenship, naturalized or birthright as an eligibility requirement to participate in mandatory position specific training. 
  • Must be willing and able to participate, with negative results in pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
  • Ability to effectively speak, write, and understand the English language
  • Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams as administered by Global Security and Airport Authority
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
