You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide welcoming customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, campus policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, student, and employee activity in accordance with location procedures; report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
