Starting Pay - $78.40 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota RN license
  • Master’s degree, doctoral degree with the focus of Nurse Midwifery
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice RN (APRN), CNM in the State of Minnesota
  • Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs accurate history and physical examinations of women.
  • Provides primary care in an ambulatory setting for women including ordering and evaluation of diagnostic tests and management of minor complications.
  • Provides inpatient obstetrical care for women including labor management, delivery of infant, repair of lacerations/episiotomy, and management of minor complications. Initiates emergency care as needed.
  • Provides individualized teaching and counseling utilizing the nurse-midwifery philosophy.
  • Identifies deviations from normal, and consults, co-manages, or refers as appropriate.
  • Completes necessary documentation.
  • Participates in quality improvement projects, research, and continuing education activities.
  • Instructs and supervises midwifery students and other learners as assigned.
  • Prescribes medications, treatment modalities, and durable medical equipment as indicated by health condition.
  • Other duties as assigned.
