Reporting to the Seniors Health Area Manager, as a casual Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for collaborating and organizing comprehensive health care services for clients in a variety of settings in coordination with the Home Care Case Manager. As a casual Home Care RN, you should have experience in the role of advocate and the ability to balance the needs of the individual, family, and community within organizational and legislative parameters. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications:

Physical exertion including bending/walking/sitting/ or standing for long periods of time. Keyboarding/mousing documentation for prolonged periods of time. Ability to be on call as required. Ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in community sector will be considered. Recent Home Care experience preferred. Recent clinical experience in psychiatric and geriatric nursing preferred. Knowledge of and skills in applying Home Care Nursing Practice Standards. Understanding of principles of Palliative Care preferred.
