Live-In Housekeeper | Palm Beach, FL & East Hampton, NY
A private family who divides their year between Palm Beach, Florida, and East Hampton, New York, spending approximately six months in each location, is seeking an experienced Live-In Housekeeper. The Housekeeper will travel with the family between both residences and will have a private bedroom and bathroom in each home.
This is a hands-on, sole-charge housekeeping position and the Housekeeper will be the only live-in household employee. The ideal candidate is experienced, energetic, highly organized, and genuinely self-motivated-someone who notices what requires attention, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and works well independently without continual direction.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 8pm (with a mid-day 3 hour break)
Salary: $100,000+ BOE
Responsibilities
  • Meticulous daily and deep housekeeping
  • Excellent laundry and ironing, including clothing, bed linens, and household linens
  • Proper care of fine clothing, furnishings, natural stone, wood, and delicate household surfaces
  • Making and changing beds
  • Maintaining closets and household organization
  • Complete kitchen cleanup, including dishes, pots, and pans; no cooking is required
  • Packing and unpacking
  • Receiving tradespeople and providing access to the home when necessary
  • Feeding and walking the family's two dogs
  • Periodically taking sole responsibility for the dogs as needed

Qualifications
  • Substantial, verifiable experience working independently in high-end private homes
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, energetic, and proactive
  • Strong ability to work independently and take initiative
  • A genuine love of dogs is essential
  • Comfortable traveling between Palm Beach and East Hampton with the family
  • Must already be legally authorized to work in the United States
