Job Purpose
The Banquet Bartender is responsible for delivering professional, high-quality beverage service during tournaments, weddings, banquets, corporate outings, and private events. This role prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to event specifications while maintaining compliance with all alcohol service regulations.
The Banquet Bartender plays a key role in creating a seamless and polished guest experience, working closely with banquet managers and service teams to ensure timely, responsible, and efficient beverage execution.
Responsibilities
  • Set up banquet bars according to event orders (BEOs), including stocking, ice, glassware, and supplies
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and event specifications
  • Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas before, during, and after events
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management
  • Process payments accurately when applicable
  • Break down and properly store bar equipment and remaining inventory following event completion
  • Support banquet team members as needed to ensure successful event execution
  • Maintain a professional, polished appearance and service demeanor at all times

Qualifications
  • Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcohol; state-required alcohol certification must be current (TABC or equivalent as required by location)
  • Minimum 1 year of bartending experience; banquet or event bartending experience preferred
  • Knowledge of standard mixed drinks, beer, wine, and service etiquette
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-volume, event-driven environments
  • Experience handling cash and credit transactions
  • Basic math and point-of-sale proficiency
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Working Conditions
  • Schedule varies based on event bookings and business demands
  • Extended periods of standing and walking
  • Lifting or carrying up to 30-50 pounds (bar equipment, beverage cases, ice, etc.)
  • Exposure to loud environments, varying temperatures, and fast-paced event conditions
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout banquet spaces
