Job description

LOCATION: Golden Road - Atwater Village

SHIFT:

  • 8+ hours

  • Nights, weekends, holidays required

COMPANY:

We are home to the nation’s most iconic beer and beyond beer brands, including Michelob ULTRA – America’s #1 top-selling beer – as well as Busch Light, Budweiser, Bud Light, Stella Artois, Cutwater Spirits, and industry-leading craft brands. From our longstanding efforts to support American farmers, military, veterans, and first responders, to emergency drinking water donations and responsible drinking programs, we are guided by our commitment to the communities we call home and the 65,000 hardworking Americans who bring our beer to life. We are powered by a team that shares our passion to create a future with more cheers. Are you ready to join a team that dreams as big as you do?

ROLE SUMMARY:

As a Pub Manager, you are the Floor General. You will bridge the gap between back-of-house and front-of-house, ensuring that whether we have 5 or 35 employees on the floor, our service is seamless and our hospitality is unmatched. You’ll be the master of day-to-day operations, focusing on the numbers that drive success—labor and COGS—while never losing sight of the guest experience.

Golden Road Brewing isn’t just a pub; it’s a craft beer landmark. Our Atwater Village flagship is a historic train station turned family-friendly destination, complete with outdoor biergartens, an indoor speakeasy, and a sunny SoCal vibe. We are looking for a Pub Manager who lives for the hustle, oozes hospitality, and remains the calmest person in the room when the house is packed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Charge: Manage, coach, and inspire a diverse team of 5–35 hourly employees per shift. You’ll be responsible for scheduling and leading high-impact pre-shift huddles.

  • Drive Operational Excellence: Manage labor percentages and COGS. You’ll handle inventory, ordering, and forecasting to ensure the pub is always prepared for the next wave.

  • Maintain the Quality: While you don't need to be a Master Cicerone, you’ll oversee beverage quality. Basic draft system knowledge (keg swaps, gas ratios, troubleshooting) is a major plus.

  • Be the Face of Hospitality: Act as a kind, patient, and professional presence for our guests and a supportive mentor for our team.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1–2 years of management experience in F&B.

  • Be a Noticer: You take immense pride in your workspace and understand that the little things create the guest experience.

    • You notice immediately if the lighting is too bright, the music is the wrong vibe, or a corner of the lawn needs attention.

    • You maintain a high standard for cleanliness and organization, ensuring the pub is always show-ready.

    • You are tuned into your team, noticing when a staff member needs support or has feedback to improve the flow of the shift.

  • Culture Driver: You are a people person who knows how to keep shifts fun and staff engaged. You bring the energy that makes people want to come to work.

  • Hospitality Heart: You look forward to being on the floor, shaking hands, and going above and beyond to welcome our guests.

  • Business Acumen: Solid understanding of ordering and labor costs.

  • Flexibility: Available for the nights and weekends that make our pub thrive.

  • Nice-to-Have: A genuine love for craft beer and technical familiarity with draft systems.

WHY ANHEUSER-BUSCH:
At Anheuser-Busch, our purpose is to create a future with more cheers. For more than 165 years as a leading American manufacturer, Anheuser-Busch has delivered a legacy of brewing great-tasting, high-quality beers that have satisfied beer drinkers for generations. As the nation’s top brewer, one of the fastest growing spirits companies, and an insurgent force in energy drinks, we drive economic prosperity nationwide through investments in our people, facilities, and communities. We are the only alcohol company that invests in the U.S. at this scale.

BENEFITS:

  • Health benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Wellness and Tax-Advantaged Savings and Spending Accounts

  • Life Insurance and Disability Income Protection

  • Generous Parental Leave and FMLA policies

  • 401(k) Retirement Savings options with a company matching contribution
