Job Description Summary

Manage and support the selection, onboarding, and ongoing oversight of third-party asset managers, with a primarily focus on Direct Lending and other Private Credit strategies. Lead and/or support key investment activities such as portfolio construction, risk monitoring, and day-to-day portfolio management to ensure alignment with objectives, risk parameters, and performance expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the selection, diligence, onboarding, and ongoing oversight of third-party asset managers.
  • Assist with due diligence of individual investment opportunities and new investment strategies, including underwriting, documentation review, and committee presentations.
  • Support the development and implementation of investment and risk management strategies, portfolio optimizations, and portfolio construction.
  • Monitor mandates, managers, deployment, guidelines, compliance, risk, and performance for the Private Credit portfolio.
  • Maintain market intelligence on Private Credit asset classes, trends, and relative value.
  • Lead reporting and portfolio management tools, evaluate and onboard new technologies.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to lead strategic initiatives focused on delivering superior investment results and maximizing value creation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • Eight years of progressive experience investing in Private Credit asset classes
  • Experience conducting investment and operational due diligence on asset managers and identifying best practices across a range of strategies and instruments
  • Demonstrated ability to due diligence new investment opportunities by leveraging deep knowledge of private markets, asset managers, asset classes, and investment frameworks within life insurance organizations.
  • Knowledge of insurance investment concepts, regulatory frameworks, and risk-based capital requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills for sourcing, managing, and analyzing data for ad hoc requests, formal projects, and reporting
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, including preparation of executive-ready presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a large General Account portfolios
  • Experience using agentic AI to improve or expand investment capabilities
  • Experience using and creating Microsoft Power BI dashboards

Working Conditions

The Salary for this position generally ranges between$165,000 - $210,000 annually.Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors includingqualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company's discretion
