Position Summary

The Private Banking Sales Manager will collaborate with Private Banking Leadership to manage a team of Private Bankers in driving business growth and delivering Six Diamond Experience. This leadership role requires strong team management and leadership skills, strategic vision and a proven track record in sales performance. They will be responsible for coaching and motivating the team and developing business strategies that expand the private client base and market share.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Management

  • In collaboration with Private Banking leadership - Lead, develop, mentor, and motivate a high-performing Private Banking team to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Set clear sales goals and expectations, monitor progress and provide regular performance feedback.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and client centric sales excellence.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new Private Bankers.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Assist leadership to develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the company objectives and market opportunities to expand market share.
  • Support the Private Banking team in identifying new business opportunities through networking, referrals and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to offer comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Analyze sales data, reports, market trends and competitor activities to adjust tactics as needed.

Client Relationship & Business Development

  • Coordinate and collaborate with leadership to support Private Bankers in managing key clients and complex relationships.
  • Foster strong partnerships with external referral sources, centers of influence, and community organizations.
  • Actively participate in client events, industry events, networking functions to support private bankers, the bank, and enhance brand visibility.

Operations and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and internal compliance requirements in all sales activities.
  • Ensure all broker dealer compliance/attestation/annual compliance certifications are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all required bank compliance trainings and expense reports are completed in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-7 years' experience in branch banking and/or private banking leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire sales teams to meet ambitious goals.
  • Strong knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Licenses: Series 7 and 66 required. Will assist with licensing if needed.
