We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team of professionals in our school-based settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing therapy techniques to ensure students can access educational resources.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
  • Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Required by Start Date
  • Licensed as an occupational therapist with the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Required by Start Date
  • Experience in school-based setting Required

Job Duties:

In the school setting, the Occupational Therapist (OT) supports students by addressing areas that may impact their educational performance. Responsibilities may include facilitating development and access in the following areas:

  • Self-help skills such as feeding, dressing, and hygiene
  • Fine, gross, and visual motor skill development
  • Sensory and visual processing abilities
  • Positioning, mobility, and transitions within the school environment
  • Functional communication using alternative or augmentative methods
  • Use of adaptive equipment and educational tools/toys

The OT plays a critical role in helping students participate more fully in academic and daily school activities through targeted interventions and support.
