Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection Practice Group

Location: Washington, DC

Our client, an international Amlaw 50 firm, is seeking a T alented Privacy Associate to join its highly regarded Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection Practice Group in Washington, D.C. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance matters, advising clients on complex legal and business challenges arising from evolving data protection laws and emerging technologies.

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in Washington, D.C. (or eligibility to waive into the D.C. Bar), in good standing
  • Experience advising clients on privacy compliance, data protection, and related regulatory matters
  • Familiarity with U.S. privacy laws and regulations, including state privacy frameworks and federal requirements
  • Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and communication skills
  • Exceptional written communication abilities with experience preparing client-facing advice and regulatory analyses
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on privacy compliance, data governance, and data protection requirements across a variety of industries
  • Assist clients with regulatory compliance efforts involving U.S. and international privacy frameworks
  • Conduct privacy and cybersecurity due diligence in connection with corporate and commercial transactions
  • Draft, review, and update privacy policies, data processing agreements, and related compliance documentation
  • Support clients with cybersecurity preparedness, incident response, investigations, and risk-management initiatives
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas on complex regulatory, transactional, and advisory matters

  • Base Salary: $225,000-$260,000annually, as determined by experience and market factors
