Job description

Duties
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
  • Monitor vital signs, document medical information accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems, and report any changes in patient condition promptly.
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Assist with clinical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices within acute or long-term care environments.

Requirements
  • Valid Geriatric Nurses Assistant license (GNA)
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting patients with Hoyer lifts and assisting with mobility while maintaining proper body mechanics.
  • Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate attitude toward individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs.
