Job description

Scheduling Coordinator and Driver

The Seasons | Assisted Living | Each Greenwich, RI

Full Time | Days (9am - 5pm)

*Split schedule between office coordination duties and driving responsibilities*

Pay: Up to $20 per hour

The Seasons East Greenwich is a premier assisted living residence, providing a balance of community, wellness and assisted living services to independent and memory impaired residents, while promoting resident quality of life, dignity and maximum independence.


Responsibilities of the Scheduling Coordinator and Driver:

  • Operate company vehicles (including a Toyota Prius and a 12 passenger van) to transport residents both individually and as a group to medical appointments and on other outings throughout Rhode Island.
  • Contact medical providers to schedule medical appointments for residents.
  • Provide reminders to residents for upcoming appointments.
  • Maintain company vehicles to company policy and standards.
  • Recognize irregularities in the performance or operation of vehicles and report irregularities and schedule appointments with an authorized service provider to correct any problems.
  • Will assist other departments as needed, including but not limited to covering the front desk, and assisting the Activities and/or Maintenance Departments.
  • Will work some holidays including covering the front desk.
  • Check van/bus/car for oil and other fluids and schedule maintenance as needed.

Qualifications for the Scheduling Coordinator and Driver:

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Outlook as well as other computer programs for communication and tracking of appointments.
  • Good time management skills are essential.
  • Must be a safe driver and have a clean driving record.
  • Must be comfortable working with elderly individuals including those with dementia.
  • Must have attention to detail when scheduling and recording appointments.
  • Must be proficient using a computer, GPS and smart phone.
  • Must be able to handle frequent interruptions.
  • Must be comfortable driving a Toyota Prius and a 12-passenger van.
  • Must be comfortable driving to many different areas of Rhode Island including cities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
