Job Summary

Interfaces with nurse leaders across Prisma Health and serves as a consultant in coaching and mentoring nurse leaders in support of student programs and nursing initiatives. Identifies opportunities and develops action plans in partnership with nurse leaders to implement nursing student programs across the Prisma Health enterprise. Participates in validation of the clinical application of leadership competencies for nursing.
Job Description

Essential Functions

  • All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.

  • Assists with developing and administering ready to work programs for nursing students to increase hires and provide patient care experiences before becoming an RN.

  • Provides coaching and training to Nursing leadership to ensure optimal outcomes and program sustainability for education to practice readiness programs and initiatives. Identifies barriers and time sensitivity to communicate through appropriate leadership channels.

  • Provides effective leadership/program management in implementation of new care and process modalities that support and enhance nursing practice within Prisma Health.

  • Identifies Prisma Health Nursing best practices and partners with Nurse Executives for potential spread.

  • Collaborates with Nurse Executives in planning and recommending strategic initiates within the division of nursing. Coaches and mentors' leaders in the adoption of new and existing evidence-based practices. To support Evidence Based Leadership best practices.

  • Reviews, evaluates and reports on assigned program areas, to include evaluating program objectives to determine compatibility with the shared academic health center. Reviews the workload and operating procedures of academic programs with collaboration to determine priorities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Nursing

  • Experience - Five (5) years nursing leadership experience with a broad knowledge in clinical leadership functions.

  • Holds a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working.

  • Effective at data conversion
