Job description

Job Summary

The Head of Prism Operations leads a distributed, technically sophisticated team responsible for delivering Clearwater's Prism product to clients. This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of client reporting, data engineering, and people management. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous, fast-evolving product environments, brings hands-on technical depth in data pipelines and client reporting, and has a proven track record of leading cross-functional, globally distributed teams. This person will own client escalations, drive delivery excellence, and be a key partner to sales and product as Prism scales.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a distributed team of approximately 15 engineers, analysts, and delivery specialists across Boise, Edinburgh, and India

  • Owns end-to-end delivery of Prism implementations, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction

  • Acts as primary escalation point for client issues; drives solutioning and resolution with a sense of urgency

  • Partners with Sales to scope, support, and close new Prism opportunities

  • Collaborates with Product Management to surface client feedback, prioritize enhancements, and improve product maturity

  • Manages team performance through regular 1-on-1s, goal setting, and career development

  • Establishes and monitors project and delivery metrics; implements process improvements to reduce client escalation frequency

  • Integrates recently onboarded team members from acquired entities and aligns team culture and ways of working

  • Coordinates coverage across time zones to support a global client base, including APAC and EMEA

Required Skills

  • Deep understanding of data pipeline design, data ingestion, and data normalization

  • Proficiency in SQL and query development for reporting and data analysis

  • Experience with client reporting platforms and building production-grade reports

  • Strong client-facing communication skills, including comfort managing escalations at senior levels

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop distributed, cross-functional teams

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills in high-pressure, client-impacting situations

  • Ability to operate effectively in early-stage or evolving product environments

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with financial data, investment accounting, or client reporting in the asset management or fintech space

  • Experience supporting pre-sales or solutioning conversations alongside a sales team

  • Background in data migration, systems integration, or product delivery at scale

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field; advanced degree a plus

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, technical delivery, or client-facing program management

  • 3+ years of people management experience, preferably leading teams of 10 or more

  • Experience engaging with senior and executive client stakeholders

  • Prior experience with project management methodologies and tools

Salary Range

$100,000 - $140,000 USD Annual

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
