Job description


Are you excited about launching a career in the aviation industry? We're seeking entry-level or experienced candidates with a passion for the aviation industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. As a Line Service Technician (LST), you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth general aviation and airline operations while fostering an outstanding experience for our customers.

This position requires availability for any/all shifts assigned and can include days/nights, weekends, overtime, holidays, and on-call as required.

What will you do?

LSTs work as a cohesive team, delivering safe and effective services to our aviation clients while providing a warm and welcoming attitude. Duties include:

  • Being responsible for FBO operations, including aircraft marshaling, refueling, towing, fuel handling and quality control, luggage handling, and operation of a variety of aviation ground service equipment.
  • Maintain safe and secure ramp operations.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to crew and customers at all times.
  • Service aircraft as requested by crew and customers, including fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power, and potable water services.
  • Understand, participate in, and excel in periods of initial, on-the-job, and recurrent training as required.
  • Ensure the accuracy of reports and documents related to time worked, quality control, and other activities performed as part of the role of Line Service Technician.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You'll be part of a professional team that takes care of clients, large and small, and powers the aviation stream at the Tweed-New Haven Airport.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the United States of America
  • Valid driver's license in the State of Connecticut with no previous suspensions
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and be capable of being issued and maintaining a SIDA airport security badge.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Be physically capable of performing job duties, including walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Flexible work scheduling, including regular and reliable in-person attendance for all scheduled shifts.
  • Be able to communicate in English with others via telephone, radio, and in writing.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and accomplish them effectively.
  • Proactively prepare for arrivals and departures, and act as a team player in accomplishing an ever-changing list of job tasks.
  • Ability to complete all required training programs.
